Realists should stop using the term _gender_ when they mean sex

There is no such thing as “gender identity”—at least, nothing that is distinguishable from delusion. There is only sexual identity: your self-concept as it relates to your biological sex. Realists—especially Christian realists—need to stop using the term gender when they mean sex. Gender is a hopelessly muddled concept. It was appropriated from the domain of grammar in the 1950s by quack “sexologist” John Money for the express purpose of obfuscating the biological basis of sexual identity and rationalizing all manner of “paraphilia.” People who use the term gender to refer to sex needlessly muddy the waters when clarity is of utmost importance.
